Memorial Bench Unveiling - 26th April 2025
The unveiling of two seats at Delapre Park in memory of the Lancaster crew killed at this site on 26 April 1945 having just returned some prisoners of war from Belgium at the end of the conflict in Europe .The Society in March heard a talk by Bill Lockerbie on this tragedy which few people knew anything about. The Naval Officer represented her country of New Zealand (most of the flight crew were from New Zealand).
